The girl who decided to teach herself to swim under water! 

One day she wouldn't get her face wet, next day she's a swimmer!

5 days after tonsil surgery, someone was happy to get a pretty dress on and go out to dinner.

She posed for a few photos before we left!

Tonsil's and Adenoids are finally gone!

Jadyn had her long awaited/ very needed tonsil surgery at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital.

She did really well and was very brave. Her weakness, liquid medication. The nurse brought in a syringe of medication meant to relax her prior to being taken to the OR. The sight of that did the total opposite, she lost it and started to climb on me like a cat in water. 

The nurse was great, she calmed her down enough to get her to taste it. One big squirt later,  it was over and she became as loopy as a girl on her 21st birthday. It was pretty funny. 

Her procedure was about 45 minutes long. They had to give her some extra medication because her Blood Pressure spiked during surgery and they found some fluid in her lungs.

 All is well, she was in recovery for 3 hours. Jadyn was discharge and we stayed close to the hospital in a comfy hotel for the night. We traveled back home the next day. She seem comfortable as long as I keep up on the pain medication. Her voice is a little animated sounding but that is suppose to go away after she heals.

This girls self confidence shows in everything she does, including something as simple as walking!  I have a good feeling its going to help her, her entire life. 

Note that hair shifting side to side, she's borderline stuck-up!

Holter results..

I'm a little behind on this. Jadyn had a 24 hour holter heart test ran before we left for Maui, it took a couple weeks to get the results back. 

I'm happy to say everything looks good, her heart rhythm is normal.  😊

Jadyn attended her first "boy" birthday party! 

Infact, she and several of her girl classmates were there! I couldn't hold back when I walked in and seen this! 

She had a great time. 

This Girl Loves Island Living!

We spent the last week in Maui, had beautiful weather and a great time.

Cardiologist appointment

Jadyn had her 6 month visit with her pediatric cardiologist. Everything looks great. They are doubling her blood pressure medication as she's close to 40 lbs. now. They use this medication to make her heart work as light as possible. Her blood pressure has always been in the normal range and this medication keeps it just under that range.

She had a echo as well. They also hooked her up to a Holter monitor, we have never had one of these tests before. She will wear it for 24 hours.
Jadyn is such a trooper. Her biggest fear over these appointments is pulling off the EKG stickers. But, she went for it on her own and had them all off within seconds!

Unless the Holter shows some concern, we will return in 6 months!

Easter Fun

One of Jadyn's favorite holidays!

She was so excited to dye eggs this year. She did 10.

The bunny left a nice basket full of treats and hid her eggs around the house.

She has been wanting a pair of Stompeez slippers thanks to the often repeated commercial on TV. The bunny made good on her request!

We made a yummy ham dinner and enjoyed the day with friends.
