- My husband Ames and I adopted our beautiful little girl from China in August 2009. This site is for our family, friends and fellow adoptive families to follow Jadyn's journey. Jadyn was born with a heart condition called transposition of the great arteries. She had open heart surgery on September 3, 2009. She had her final corrective heart surgery on July 16, 2010.

Is it just me, or did fixing Jadyn's heart make her hair grow faster???!!! Look at those long pig tails!
She doesn't seem to have any apprehension about the water and sand anymore!!! Good times!
