We spent the last week in Maui, had beautiful weather and a great time.

Cardiologist appointment

Jadyn had her 6 month visit with her pediatric cardiologist. Everything looks great. They are doubling her blood pressure medication as she's close to 40 lbs. now. They use this medication to make her heart work as light as possible. Her blood pressure has always been in the normal range and this medication keeps it just under that range.

She had a echo as well. They also hooked her up to a Holter monitor, we have never had one of these tests before. She will wear it for 24 hours.
Jadyn is such a trooper. Her biggest fear over these appointments is pulling off the EKG stickers. But, she went for it on her own and had them all off within seconds!

Unless the Holter shows some concern, we will return in 6 months!

Easter Fun

One of Jadyn's favorite holidays!

She was so excited to dye eggs this year. She did 10.

The bunny left a nice basket full of treats and hid her eggs around the house.

She has been wanting a pair of Stompeez slippers thanks to the often repeated commercial on TV. The bunny made good on her request!

We made a yummy ham dinner and enjoyed the day with friends.

There are a couple homes being built in our street and the builder appears to have excess dirt. A kid magnet for sure, but not normal one that would attract this girl.

She's 6!

It's hard for me to believe Jadyn is already 6. She was a tiny 21 lb. 2 year old when we brought her home.

We celebrated her birthday with a trip to Seattle visiting the American Girl Store.
She was in sensory overload, she absolutely loved it there.
Jadyn picked out Ivy, her first American/Chinese Girl doll and a couple pets to keep Ivy company.

The excitement is pretty noticeable!

So many pets to choose from, she finally picked a Bunny and a Kitten.

We had lunch in the Bistro with Ivy joining us at the table.

Daddy and Jeron were surrounded by pink, little girls and dolls but handled it well!

Another highlight was the hotel pool, it's been a long winter and the kids loved getting back in the water.

Jadyn was pretty impressed that her birthday was 3-13-13 this year, she is into the whole "pattern" thing at school right now.

Valentines, Star of the week and Ben

Jadyn loved Valentines day.

The party at school left such an impression we are still hearing about this week.

She enjoys school so much, even the part about learning! ha

This week Jadyn is the Star Student, which means you get to sit in the teachers chair
and tell the class about a favorite stuffed animal you brought to school that day.
 Several pictures of you and your family are put on the wall for the week.
And the best part, according to Jadyn, is getting to have ice cream with the principal!

An update on our puppy, who is almost 6 months old already!

Ben is a wild beast, he's needy, full of energy and love.

He's the best!

Lastly, Celebration #3

Wow, what a busy Chinese festivities filled weekend! We decided to take Jadyn to our local Chinese/American Chapter. There were so many people there we ended up on the balcony. Too far from the stage for her to really enjoy any of the program. We stayed for an hour or so then headed to Dairy Queen for a treat. The program was 90% in Chinese so we sat there pretty lost!

Our second Chinese New Year celebration was local in our town, a much smaller group. Jadyn enjoyed all the craft projects they had for the kids. Also the yummy Chinese food.

This was our second year attending
"Families with Children from China" (FCC) New Years celebration. We had a great time. Thank you Auntie for coming and also for winning us a discount on our Chinese camp-out later this year!

Tooth Fairy!

With a little help from our Dentist, the Tooth Fairy made her first visit to Jadyn.

She has had 2 loose teeth for a few weeks. I was checking to see how close they were to falling out and noticed her new teeth had broke through the skin behind the loose ones!

Weird, I know. Our dentist took care of the loose ones and before we knew it, the Fairy had come to visit.
